In lieu of the Grammy’s this past Sunday, I wanted to share a makeup tutorial with you all inspired by St. Vincent from the Alternative Music Category nominations. This look isn’t specific to her makeup on Sunday, but rather a look inspired by several different makeup looks of hers.

She often wears either dramatic looks with bright colored eye shadow and a soft lip or bold lips with smoky eyes and even soft natural looking makeup. I loved the blue shadow she wore with natural flushed cheeks and a soft lip.

For this look, I went with a blue eye shadow theme, similar to the one she wore to the 29th annual Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony last year, just a little less dramatic for everyday wear. I accompanied the blue eye shadow with a soft nude pinkish lipstick and blush.

How to Recreate this Eye Look:

  1. Apply shadow #1 from the new COVERGIRL Eye Shadow Quad in blooming blushes all over the lid.
  2. Apply shadow #2 from the new COVERGIRL Eye Shadow Quad in Breathtaking blues to the inner corner of the eye and blend up and out.
  3. Apply the same shadow to the outer corner of the eye and blend it up and inward.
  4. Using the same quad, apply shadow #3 to the lower lash line, outer corner of the eye and top 3=outer 1/ 2 of the lash line.
  5. Taking blue eyeliner, liner the outer ¾ of the lower waterline.
  6. Taking a black gel liner, line the top ¾ of the lash line but making sure not to create a cat eye.
  7. Apply COVERGIRLS Full Lash Bloom Mascara to enhance every lash for a full and voluminous look.

To complete your makeup look add a natural flush of color to your cheeks and apply COVERGIRLs long lasting outlast lip color in #540. It’s a beautiful soft nude pink shade that delivers brilliant coverage, color and shine in 2 easy steps.
