I love eye shadow pallets and prefer them to single shadows on the daily, though I find that I only gravitate towards a handful of the shadows on a regular basis and they typically run out far before the other shadows in my pallets do. I know I am not the only one this happens to ;), which is why I am so glad the beauty industry is starting to move to a highly personalized direction.
I have started replacing some of my old palettes with new customized palettes lately, one of the first being my daily eye shadow palette. The palette I have been using most lately is the Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette, which allows you to select 6 shades (out of 40!) at time of purchase that you would use on a regular basis or want in your palette. Each shadow pan is sold separately after that, so they can be replaced as the season change, or replenished as you use them up. They also have 3 pre-made palettes if you don’t want to make your own… but who wouldn’t want to make their own!?
If you know me, you know I am a bold lip kinda gal, so I typically wear light neutral shades on my eyes to balance the bold lip. For my palette I wanted to have a nice highlight shade (Diamond Darling-shimmering frost), all over lid shade in beige (Designer or Die – matte beige), crease shade (Invite Only- matte Terra-cotta) and outer corner shade (Star Treatment – matte Hazelnut). Those are the 4 shades I use for my everyday eye look but I also like to have a deep brown shade for when I want more of a going out look. I also like to have a seasonal color in my palette and with fall, I thought a beautiful green (Prenup – Shimmering Emerald) would be perfect and with the upcoming holidays, I thought a gold (24KT Stelettos – metallic gold) would be perfect as well.
All of the shadows are buttery soft, nicely pigmented and are made with a built-in primer so you don’t have to apply an eyeshadow primer with them. Swapping the eye shadows in and out is a breeze and literally takes seconds. I absolutely love this palette and I highly recommend customizing one of your own!
Also worth mentioning are their Full On Lipsticks. I am already a huge fan of their Full-On Lip Polishes and Full Bodied Lipsticks but hadn’t tried their Full-On Lipstick until now, and I absolutely love them. They are a triple-action lipstick that defines your lips like a liner, fills them in with a creamy, velvet-matte color and also provides hydration with Vitamins A, C, and E. Of course they also have a tingling sensation for a lip-plumping effect, which is one of the reasons I love their glosses so much! Oh and they are free of parables, sulfates and Phthalates!
Here is a recent Look I did wearing this palette with my everyday shades and a bold lip with the Acapulco Full-On Lipstick:
