Caviar Nails with Zoya Polish (Shelby)

Lately I have been seeing the Caviar nail trend around and have been wanting to try it out, so I headed to my local craft store to pick up a bottle of micro beads from the brand Recollections. I got both the neutral set and colorful set they had. I then headed home, grabbed my Zoya nail polish in the shade Shelby, from the Summer 2012 Beach Collection, and started painting my nails!

To achieve the Caviar nails you first apply one coat of nail polish and let it dry. Once dry, add another layer of polish but this time pour the micro beads over the polish before it dries. Then lightly press the beads into the polish, not to hard or you will ruin the look. Lastly, Let dry and add a top coat! Way easy right!?!

For the look I only wanted to cover 2 nails with the micro beads so this is how it turned out:

Like I mentioned above I used the Zoya Nail Polish in the shade Shelby from the new Summer 2012 Beach Collection. Shelby can be best described as a soft, yet colorful cherry blossom pink with an opaque cream finish. This is the perfect cool pastel pink for this spring/summer.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Zoya Polish and their new Summer 2012 collection, here is a little more information about it:

The Zoya BEACH and SURF collection was designed and inspired by resort runways and tropical get-a-ways.
Ultra long-wearing, glossy nail lacquers by Zoya are free of harmful industrial chemicals like toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) that are known to cause cancer and birth defects.

That's so cool. Do the beads pop off during the day? Get in your food?

This was my first time applying them and they lasted about 2 days before they slowly started coming off. I will try a few ways to see if i can get them to hold longer than 2 days but if not i still think they are fun, quick and easy to do for special occasions or something. O I do not recall any falling off in food, if they did i am no aware of it lol

I was wondering the same thing… do they stick on there well? It is really pretty.

they stay on well for the first couple days but after that they started to slowly come off. Since this was my first time trying them out I will try a few different ways to apply them to see if i can get them to hold longer than 2 days. If not i still think they are fun, quick and easy to do for special occasions or something!! Plus the beads are rather cheap (especially when you use a 50% off coupon to buy the packs) and you will get several uses out of each tube of beads!
