With this summer being the highest projected travel season in over 10 years, I assure you that you don’t want to miss out on the low gas prices and cheap airfare! We all look forward to our summer getaways, for both rest and leisure. Do you really want to miss out on that California Ocean? Just imagine your toes grabbing those sandy beaches! How about that trip your family is dying to take to Orlando?! Laying poolside in turquoise waters while your kids are out hitting the Disney adventures. Maybe that’s not for you…Maybe you’re thinking, road trip! I love road trips! Catching up with my besties, playing the music as loud as we want, and all the while, my hubby is on baby duty! Yes girls, summer is here! So pack your bags, grab your sexiest sunglasses, your flashiest bathing suit, that suitcase that’s been hiding in the closet and meet me at the beach!
So how will you get there, you might ask? Well, if you are a Chase credit card holder, your end of summer vacation is just around the corner!
My husband and I were recommended through our friends to join Chase Ultimate Rewards with Southwest back in March, so we did! We booked our first family getaway back in April to Orlando, FL using our card. We had an amazing family getaway, which included staying in a gorgeous resort where we got plenty of pool time. Trips to Disney World and surrounding attractions and of course the beach! We have since used Chase Ultimate Rewards to book quick weekend trips and have accumulated many reward points. We consider these our “look forward” moments.
Here a few pics from our April trip to Orlando:
Our most recent “look forward” moment this summer was a road trip during our move. Yes, we moved… in case any of you missed the post about it! We finally left the big old state of Texas and headed out to New Hampshire/Maine. Huge change, I know! My husband is originally from here, so we moved up to be around his family.
This was our last picture at Church on Sunday of me and my kids (Far Left is my Husbands sister), before we left Texas to our new home.
We drove straight through the first night and rested 2 hours at a truck stop in the morning and then headed off to Indiana which is were we stayed for one night. We arrived at 12 and slept about 6 hours that night.
From there we drove straight through the next night and to our new home. We’ll not technically our new home yet since it’s not available until 9/10 We are living in our RV outside my husbands meme’s house. One of the first attractions we visited after resting was the Nubble Beach Lighthouse
We actually went back up to Nubble Beach after church a few days later and went to the lighthouse again.
While in the are, we stopped by Strawberry Banke Museum on the way home and went to the gorgeous floral gardens. I did a full post on that here.
