Brace yourself, because the brilliant la prairie scientists have developed the next innovation in the science of anti-aging. Born from their never-ending quest to create skincare that goes beyond luxury, they recently launched their newest anti-aging line, the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Collection, which includes the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil and the Cellular Ice Crystal Cream.
These new products are far different from any other anti-aging line you may have tried in the past. Both products utilize the power of biotechnology and plant stem cells and promise to turn back the clock by:
- Boosting the renewal potential of skin stem cells
- Strengthening the skin’s defense system against oxidative stress
- Fighting free radicals
- Protecting mitochondrial DNA.
The Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Collection was designed to protect the skin from the environment and time itself, using the following three survivalist plants growing at the top of the Swiss Alps, in a crystalline world of ice, snow and unrelenting sun.
Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil:
“precious hydrating plant oils help restore the skin’s moisture barrier as they soften and nourish, while nurturing plant extracts calm, soothe, and protect with powerful anti-oxidants.”
Cellular Ice Crystal Cream:
“This light-infused cream glisteningly melts into your skin, immediately working to renew firmness and smooth wrinkles with extremely powerful hydrators captured in an extraordinarily weightless texture.”
I found both the cream and oil to absorb easily into my skin within a few minutes and only a small pea size was needed for me to achieve proper coverage. Both products feel lightweight, are non-greasy and can be used together or alone. I also love how beautifully my makeup applies overtop of these products. For the purpose of my review on this product, I have only been applying the oil and cream without the use of other skincare products, other than washing my face with my olive oil, with green tea and avocado face wash.
I have to admit, I am in awe at how amazing, luxurious and effective the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil and the Cellular Ice Crystal Cream are. After just one application, my skin felt as soft and smooth as a baby’s bottom. I haven’t felt my skin like this in ages. I also noticed a healthier glow to my skin and a slight reduction in the size of my pores. I especially noticed a huge difference in two specific areas of my face with just the first application, the area around my nose and my entire right eyelid.
Typically my skin gets very dry, rough and often breaks out in the creases around my nose and I have terrible eczema on my right eyelid. After jut one application, I woke up the next day to, well… basically new skin! Yes, I know that is a huge claim for me to make; however, the area around my nose was completely smooth with no pimple or dry skin in site and the eczema on my right eyelid was no longer prominent. Not to mention my face was the softest and smoothest I have felt it in ages.
I honestly couldn’t stop touching my skin when I woke up the next morning. Yes, I am aware that I shouldn’t touch my face constantly like that, but I just couldn’t help it! All of this after just one application!?! You can only imagine how well its been working for my skin since that first application.
I can definitely say that I am now hooked on this new luxurious skincare line collection and cant wait to see how well it stops the clock on aging my skin as I continue to use it. If it continues to impress me and my skin continues to improve, I will happily invest in the price tag of $300 per product. I honestly believe that good skincare is worth the investment and I guarantee you I have thrown away more money then that on products that DID NOT work for my skin in the past. I have been trying countless products for the past 4+ years to get rid of the eczema on my right eyelid, my acne, large pores and very dry, rough skin. If this new collection can take care of all of these issues plus, slow down the aging of my skin, I am sold and wont think twice about the higher price tag.
Miles high in the Swiss Alps, in a world of sheer ice crystals, beauty transcends time. Here, two seemingly fragile plants and one tiny algae survive and thrive in the harshest setting on earth, developing strategies to outwit the environment. It’s only fitting then that la prairie, with a heritage deeply rooted in Switzerland, harnessed these extreme-survivalist secrets into the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Collection. The discovery combines some of the most sophisticated survivalist secrets.

It’s amazing to me that people ever thought to use algae in skincare products.

i would definitely spend the extra money for a product that works, but I don’t know if I could part with $300

My Aunt is an aesthetician and is hooked on la prairie, she recs it to everyone and uses it on herself and clients.

I don’t know if I could cough up the price tag, but the packaging sure is gorgeous.
Anastasia
If I knew for a fact the product will work, I would be able to part with a pretty substantial sum of money. Currently my only beauty secret for keeping the skin looking younger is daily SPF, drinking lots of water, and lots of sleep.
Aleya Bamdad
A product that works that well overnight- I would definitely pay the price.
Kimmi @ The Plastic Diaries
Oooo I hadn’t heard of this line and I thought I was a La Prairie connoisseur.

I tried this with a special edition box from Glossybox. Fabulous skincare but it’s so highly fragranced which is a shame.
Nidia Doherty
I’d love to try it! But the price tag is a little up there for me. The packaging is gorgeous, and I’m so thrilled it worked on your eczema.
Mai
The price tag is a bit much for me unfortunately!

Price is relative but if you’re reaping great results, it’s a good investment then!

I have tried la prarie and think it’s a great product. Worth the price tag in my opinion. You pay for what you get..

The price tag is a little to high for me

A bit pricey for me, but if they really work then the products might be worth the cost. Thanks for sharing. I’m now sitting here going “To try or not to try”.
Robin Rue
That is a little out of my price range, but it sounds great. If my laugh lines show up any more, I may just invest in some.
Debbie Lamb
This is a new product for me – it is a bit pricey but if it works and it is natural – I can see myself using it. I could not find info on if it is sold in the USA at local shops or if it is just online
