A blending sponge is definitely a Holy Grail beauty item that I’m pretty sure most of us beauty gurus probably have in our makeup kits. Why? Because they are Ahhmazing and give you a professional, flawless look at home in a snap. I’ve tried a few in the past and after trying the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, it’s the one I am recommending from now on! Not only is it super affordable, especially compared to others out there, but it also does an amazing job at giving a flawless face look.
I personally start my face routine with a liquid foundation and the Miracle Complexion Sponge. It can be used wet or dry but I love using mine slightly damped for a more dewy, natural finish. Unlike a lot of other blending sponges, this one has a flat edge for harder to reach areas like under the eyes and nose area. I then apply concealer using the pointed tip.
The next step in my routine consists of contouring, highlighting and adding blush. Insert my new best friend for that: The Miracle Sculpting Sponge: This sponge offers a sharp, flat edge for precise blending and contouring with a smaller bulb and edge for blending and highlighting. I was pretty impressed after trying this sponge out for the first time and seeing how much of a difference it made on my face when I took photos. My contouring looked so much better, at least in my opinion! Super simple to use, yet so effective.
Again, while I have used several blending sponges in the past, I haven’t tried anything quit like the new Miracle Mini Eraser sponge from the new Real Techniques Miracle Sponge Collection. Let me tell you…this is the sponge you never knew you needed but now totally need! This little guy made cleaning up my makeup mishaps a breeze, especially my winged liner. Fun fact: I hate how long it takes me to do my winged liner and I constantly have to fix it. Even with all the tricks out there that make it look so easy, it’s just not for me! It also helped clean up any fall out from my shadow in a breeze!
I completed this Fall look using the three above mentioned sponges from the Real Techniques Miracle Collection. These three tools are now part of my makeup kit and I highly recommend trying them out yourself!
P.S. I may have had some outfit inspiration from the Miracle Complexion Sponge. We are totally twinning right now!
