Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipsticks Review & Swatches

(From L-R & T-B) Sheer Walk of Shame / Sheer Liar / Sheer Rapture / Sheer Ladyflower / Sheer Obsessed / Sheer Anarchy / Sheer Streak / Sheer Slowburn / Sheer F-Bomb / Sheer Shame

Almost 2 years ago Urban Decay released their Revolution Lipsticks, which I absolutely adored! I did an entire review, along with swatches of the 9 I own, which can be found here. This year UD released their new Sheer Revolution Lipsticks, which combines everything you love about the original Revolution Lipstick but with a sheer, shiny finish instead. The lipstick themselves are still rich and creamy with a very smooth feel. They glide on like butter and feel amazing on the lips. They also still come housed in the same style packing but this time they are in a light purple case instead of gunmetal.

I am a huge fan or UD Lipsticks and loved these. I personally prefer bold and pigmented lipsticks versus sheer ones, so I still prefer the original ones over the sheer ones; however, some of these actually aren’t all that sheer in my opinion. Which I personally really like. They have a little more pigment then most sheer lipsticks I have. I particularly like the Sheer Anarchy, Sheer F-Bomb, Sheer Slowburn, Sheer Streak and Sheer Obsessed the most because they are a little more vivid and bolder than the other shades. I also recommend using a lip liner with the more pigmented ones. I didn’t use a liner with my swatches and can clearly see the areas that the bled over my lip line.

Overall, I really do love the creamy, soft formulation of these and would highly recommend them. They are perfect if you love more of a sheer lipstick and if you want more pigmentation I suggest getting the original revolution lipsticks!
