Wantable.co is a new monthly subscription service specializing in jewelry and makeup. Each box costs $36 a month OR you can opt out of the monthly subscription and pay $40 per box. Boxes are personalized and matched to your style via the help of their style quiz you take upon joining.
Today I will be reviewing the makeup subscription box. Unlike other beauty/makeup boxes, Wantable’s monthly box contains 4 to 6 full-size premium makeup products worth between $80-$100. No sample sizes included in you 4-6 count! April’s monthly box contained 6 full-sized items and 2 bonus makeup removing wipes.
April’s Monthly box included:
- 2-in-1 Kabuki brush by Real Techniques
- Blush from Manna Kadar
- Lipgloss from 29 Cosmetics
- Lipstick by 29 Cosmetics
- Mascara from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics
- Nail Lacquer from Color Club
- Makeup removing wipes from La Fresh
2-in-1 Kabuki brush by real techniques ($10 RV)
Real techniques is one of my favorite brands of makeup brushes and I actually own quite a few of them, so when I opened my Wantable box and saw a new brush I didn’t have included I was very excited. The 2-in- kabuki is a 100% cruelty free synthetic taklon brush that can be used for powders when closed shut OR you can open the kabuki and use it to sweep on color for more high-definition looks. I personally like using the kabuki closed for my blushes and opened to sweep my highlighting powder on. Just like Real Techniques other brushes, it is good quality and works very well. I love this new brush!
Blush from Manna Kadar ($19 RV)
I have tried just a couple of Manna Kadar products in the past and enjoy most of them, so I was excited to get to try another product of theirs out. This time I got to try out their High Five Blush which is the perfect peachy coral shade for the perfect flush on your cheeks. I really love this blush and think the color looks great on my skin tone. I liked how subtle it was when I applied with just one coat but I was also able to easily build it up for a more drastic pop of color. The texture is not buttery or the smoothest when swatching; however, it glides on the skin effortlessly and easily blends out.
Lipgloss from 29 Cosmetics ($24 RV)
Just like the lipstick, I really like the packaging of 29 Cosmetics lipgloss and the spf15 protection they offered. The lip gloss also contains grape seed for an anti-oxidant nourishing formula. I received the shade Napa Sunset, the color itself is a beautiful sheer coral with specks of shimmer in it. It glides on smoothly and feels very moisturizing on the lips. I am a new fan of 29 Cosmetics!
Lipstick by 29 Cosmetics ($25 RV)
I have never heard of the brand 29 Cosmetics before but I was excited to try them out for the first time. I really like the packaging of the lipstick and the fact that the lipstick had spf20 protection and contained grape seed for an anti-oxidant nourishing lipstick. The lipstick is also said to visibly reduce the signs of aging. I really enjoy this new lipstick and it pairs perfectly with the lipgloss I also received. The lipstick has great pigmentation and glides on smoothly. My lips also felt very moisturized when wearing it.
Mascara from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics ($15 RV)
I actually already own the Be A Bombshell Mascara, along with many other products from them. I really enjoy their line of cosmetics, especially their eyeliner, blushes and lipgloss. I am not particularly impressed with their mascara though. It is not a bad mascara by any means, I just have a few that I prefer to use over it.
Nail Lacquer from Color Club ($6 RV)
Color Club is a well-known nail polish brand and I myself own a few of their polishes and enjoy them. I received the shade Wild Cactus, which is a beautiful dark Emerald color (it looks brighter than it really is in this photo).
Makeup removing wipes from La Fresh ($19.99 for a 48 pack so a $.83 value in the box)
I thought it was nice to have a bonus makeup removing wipes this month by La Fresh. They are a newer brand, which is why I probably have never heard of them before. I have very sensitive skin so I was immediately torn away from this product when I opened it and it smelled like a grandma perfume. I like using fragrance free products on my sensitive skin. I will pass on these wipes and I am glad I still got 6 full size products and this want part of that 6.
Look I Created Using All items in the box (aside from nail polish and makeup removing wipes)
Overall, I think Wantable.co is the new must have makeup subscription service! I really enjoyed the box I received and all the products that came in it (aside from the removing wipes). I am actually cancelling the other two makeup/beauty subscription services I have currently with different companies. I am tired of wasting money on sample size products that I never use half the time because they are one time use or are not any good. My other boxes usually have small perfume samples or other skincare items more than they offer makeup products, which I do not like. Granted they are only $10 compared to $36 but between the two I will be cancelling, that’s $20 a month I was basically throwing away. I will get lots of use and my money’s worth with the full size products I receive in the Wantable box. With a $99.83 RV value included in this month’s box, the value is well over the $36 OR $40 price tag you pay. In my opinion its well worth the price tag to get some new goodies each month that you will get use out of.
