Many of you already know what a HUGE fan I am of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. If you missed my previous review on the company and makeup products I use, make sure you check it out HERE! Younngblood recently launched their new Spring Collection on March 1st and one of my favorite products this launch was the new Youngblood Illuminating Crème Blushes ($27 USD each). They looked amazing and I could not wait to try one out!
The new Illuminating Crème blushes come packaged in a sleek black box with white and hot pink writing. Upon opening the box you will find a round twist-top jar with a black top and labeling on the bottom. Each jar contains 6 grams of amazing crème blush! One of my favorite parts about these blushes are the fact that they are oil-free and contain vitamins to nourish the skin, making them perfect for sensitive skin, which we all know I have!
I choose to try out the Illuminating crème blush in the shade Rose Quartz; which is a silvery petal-pink color that is absolutely beautiful when worn. I like to apply this crème blush with just my fingers not a brush. I find the texture very smooth making it easy to apply this way. Once applied it does dry into a powder finish on the cheek, so make sure to apply quickly. The blushes have a shimmering glow with a sheer, long-wearing color. I like to wear my crème blush alone because I find it gives my cheeks a beautiful glow this way; however, they can also be worn as a highlighter or make a perfect base layered under powdered blushes.
I am absolutely in love with the glow Rose Quartz gives me, my new favorite blush! Plus I love how much more defined my cheek bone looks when wearing it:
Here are a few pictures of me wearing it:
The illuminating Crème blushes come in 4 colors total. Aside from Rose Quartz they also have: Champagne Life (a bubbly taupe with a shimmery sheen); Taffeta (a lustrous bubble gum pink); and Tropical Glow (a peachy-pink tone with golden shimmer). All of the blushes are great for any skin type but are ideal for light to medium skin tones.
I find myself reaching for this blush everyday over my other blushes. I just love the way it looks on my cheeks and how weightless it feels on. At $27 it does seem pricey but well worth it! I am getting tons of wear out of it and I know it will last a long time because very little product is needed when applying, making the $27 price justifiable.
